Progress does not always require adding weight. Members can also increase repetitions within a planned range, improve control, expand a suitable range of motion or add a set.

Machines Can Make Targeted Volume Easier

Training volume is useful only when the intended muscles can perform productive work. Free-weight compound exercises may create broad fatigue across the body.
